Membership is open to people aged 50+ who are retired or no longer working full-time.
Membership fees for 2013 are
- $50 for individual membership
- $45 each for joint membership (two people at the same address and sharing newsletter mailing)
- $40 for associate membership (full member of another U3A)
Please note that in allocating places for full year courses, preference is given to volunteers and full members before Associate Members.
The period of your membership runs from October of the current year to December of the following year, and you must renew your membership each October.
Your membership fee covers all participation in courses throughout the year. Computer courses may charge a small fee in order to cover the higher cost of renting IT training rooms. Some tutors may seek reimbursement of small expenditures on class materials such as photocopying. The only extra costs are for optional activities such as lunch-time lectures and social activities.
