Volunteer Tutors Required

Do you have a passion for a topic and would love to share it with others? If you are over 50, retired or semi retired, you could be the person we are looking for to expand the courses offered by U3A Melbourne City.

You may be a former teacher or someone knowledgeable in a particular field who is interested in tutoring or coordinating a course on your topic. Courses can be as short or as long as you like. You design the content and style of your course, and there are no student assessment requirements. There is some administration and tutor support available in running your course.

We are interested in many subject areas, and you can see the range of courses offered on the 'Courses' pages of our website. At present we particularly need volunteer tutors in:
  • Beginners and conversational French
  • Conversational Italian
  • Spanish
  • Art/Art Appreciation
  • Science

Please click here for more information on language tutors.

Expressions of interest or questions you might have about tutoring should be emailed to citymelb@u3a.org.au with "Volunteer Tutor" in the subject line.   Our course coordinator, Julie Nankervis, will be in touch.
